How I Use AI Agents to Ship Bubble Apps Faster
If you had told me a few years ago that I would be building Bubble apps with a team of AI agents next to me, I would probably have laughed.
Today, that is exactly how I work.
And no, this is not one of those “AI will replace everyone” takes.
For me, AI is a leverage layer. Bubble is still the core platform. Product judgment is still human. Client context is still human. But with the right AI workflow, I can move faster, think clearer, and ship better.
After 30+ projects, I now treat AI as part of my delivery stack.
My stack: Bubble + Claude + Cursor + vibe coding
Here is the practical setup I use most often:
- Bubble for product, workflows, database, admin, and speed
- Claude for architecture thinking, workflow design, edge-case analysis, and copy
- Cursor for any custom code pieces (plugins, JS snippets, API helpers, docs/scripts)
- Vibe coding sessions to rapidly explore ideas, UX flows, and alternate implementations before locking a direction
The important part is this: I don’t use AI randomly. I use it in specific moments of the project lifecycle.
Where AI helps me most in real projects
1) Discovery and scope compression
At kickoff, founders usually describe outcomes, not systems.
“I need a platform for appointments.” “I need a client portal.” “I need to automate onboarding.”
Before AI, I would spend more time manually expanding that into user roles, states, workflows, edge cases, permissions, and integrations.
Now I run a structured prompt process with Claude:
- summarize business objective
- map user roles
- list core jobs-to-be-done
- propose MVP scope vs phase 2
- identify risky assumptions to validate early
Result: faster clarity, fewer blind spots.
I still decide what goes into MVP, but AI gives me a high-quality first pass in minutes.
2) Database and workflow planning before touching Bubble
One of the biggest mistakes in no-code is building screens first.
I start with data model and workflow map. AI helps me stress-test both.
I’ll ask Claude things like:
- “Given these entities and user roles, what relationships could create future bottlenecks?”
- “Where should we use option sets vs data types?”
- “What workflow steps should be atomic to avoid inconsistent states?”
This is incredibly useful in rescue projects too, where a previous build became messy. AI can quickly spot naming inconsistencies, duplicated logic patterns, and fragile flow dependencies.
3) Writing better API integration specs
When Bubble apps connect to Stripe, CRMs, internal APIs, or automation tools, most delays come from unclear specs.
I use AI to draft:
- endpoint maps
- payload examples
- error handling behavior
- retry logic expectations
- fallback UX messaging
Then I refine and implement.
This reduces the back-and-forth between idea and implementation. It also makes handoff cleaner when other developers join later.
4) UX microcopy and empty states
A lot of Bubble apps lose quality in the “small text moments”:
- empty states
- onboarding hints
- validation messages
- confirmation dialogs
AI is excellent for generating variations quickly based on tone.
Instead of shipping generic text like “Something went wrong,” I can provide specific, useful copy that reduces user confusion and support tickets.
5) QA checklists and pre-launch hardening
Before launch, I ask AI to generate role-based QA scripts from my workflow descriptions.
Example:
- admin creates account
- user accepts invite
- user submits form with missing field
- manager approves request
- webhook fails
- retry job executes
- status sync reflects correctly in dashboard
This gives me a stronger test pass, especially for edge cases that are easy to miss late at night.
My practical weekly rhythm with AI
A lot of people ask: “Do you use AI every hour?”
Not exactly. I use it in blocks.
Monday / planning block
- Scope review with client notes
- Claude session for architecture and risk mapping
- Define this week’s Bubble delivery targets
Build days
- Execute in Bubble first
- Use AI when I hit ambiguity, integration complexity, or repetitive content tasks
- Use Cursor for any code artifacts
Pre-demo block
- Ask AI to challenge current implementation: “What would break with 10x usage?”
- Generate QA scenarios
- Tighten copy and onboarding flow
This keeps me fast without becoming dependent on random prompting.
What I never delegate to AI
This is crucial.
AI is powerful, but it should not decide:
- business priorities
- trade-offs with budget/timeline
- stakeholder communication
- what “good enough for MVP” truly means in context
Those decisions come from experience.
As a Bubble Ambassador, I see two extremes:
- People ignoring AI and shipping slower than necessary
- People blindly following AI output and creating fragile apps
The sweet spot is human direction + AI acceleration.
A real workflow example (simplified)
Let’s say I’m building an operations dashboard for a service company.
Step 1: Scope I feed interview notes into Claude and ask for:
- MVP feature list
- role matrix
- key workflows
- assumptions to validate in first 30 days
Step 2: Build plan I convert that into Bubble tasks:
- data types and fields
- privacy rules
- pages and reusable elements
- backend workflows
Step 3: Integrations Using AI, I draft API contracts and webhook event handling behavior.
Step 4: UX polish Generate copy variants for:
- onboarding screens
- empty dashboards
- “action required” alerts
Step 5: QA Run AI-generated edge-case checklist and fix issues before demo.
What used to take me significantly longer in planning and documentation now moves with much less friction.
Why this matters now
In 2026, speed alone is not enough.
Everyone can move fast. The difference is who can move fast with structure.
That is where Bubble + AI agents becomes a serious advantage:
- faster ideation
- cleaner implementation
- better communication
- stronger QA
- more iterations per month
If you are a founder, this means more validated learning in less time. If you are a builder, this means higher output without sacrificing quality.
I don’t see AI as a threat to no-code.
I see it as the next evolution of how great no-code teams operate.
And if you embrace it intentionally, you won’t just ship faster.
You’ll ship smarter.
